Rachel Shapiro is a business owner, a mediator, and a community leader who is running for Clark County Clerk. She brings a combination of legal knowledge, practical experience, and a commitment to public service that prepares her to effectively serve the citizens of Clark County.
Rachel earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Massachusetts School of Law in Dartmouth, Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Throughout her professional career, Rachel has worked directly with legal documents, court procedures, and individuals navigating complex legal matters. As a mediator and business owner, she has assisted clients in resolving disputes, preparing legal paperwork, and understanding court processes. This experience has provided her with firsthand knowledge of the importance of accuracy, organization, professionalism, and public access within the court system.
Rachel believes that government works best when public officials remain accessible to the people they serve. If elected Clark County Clerk, she will hold monthly community office hours on the first Wednesday of each month at noon. Residents will be invited to bring a lunch, ask questions, share concerns, and discuss ways the Clerk's Office can better serve the public.
Rachel is committed to maintaining an open line of communication with citizens and believes that transparency, accountability, and public trust are strengthened when elected officials make themselves available to listen and engage directly with the community.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Rachel has dedicated much of her life to her family and community. She raised four daughters, instilling the values of education, personal responsibility, perseverance, and service to others. Her commitment to leadership and community involvement continues through her service as an elected Precinct Committee Officer in Clark County.
Rachel is running for Clark County Clerk because she believes the office should be transparent, acountable, efficient, and responsive to the public. She is committed to ensuring that court records are maintained accurately, services are delivered professionally, and citizens receive the respect and assistance they deserve when interacting with the Clerk's Office.
With a legal education, experience working with court-related matters, and a proven record of leadership and service, Rachel is prepared to serve Clark County with integrity, professionalism, and dedication.
